Our Site Learning Programme

At Daddy Daycare Educare, we use the AmazingBrainz Site Learning Programme, a registered programme in South Africa that is approved by the Department of Basic Education (DBE). This programme is fully aligned with national standards, including the National Integrated Early Learning and Development Standards (NELDS) and the Early Learning Development Areas (ELDAs) of the South African National Curriculum Framework (NCF), ensuring high-quality, play-based learning for all our children.
The AmazingBrainz Pre-School Learning Programme runs over 40 weeks, with each theme explored for two weeks to give children the chance to learn in depth through play and discovery. Some of the themes include My Body, My Family, My Senses, Colours, Shapes, Animals, Fruit, Vegetables, Healthy Living, Seasons, Safety, and Occupations. These are just a few of the many exciting topics that help children understand themselves, their environment, and the world around them.
As part of this programme, we upload the observation process of each child to the AmazingBrainz information system, which is used by the organisation for research, child development statistics, and programme improvement. All information is kept strictly confidential and is only used for educational and developmental purposes. Parents are given the choice to either consent to or decline the sharing of their child’s progress. However, we encourage participation, as contributing to this process greatly benefits each child’s learning journey and supports continuous improvement in early childhood education.

Literacy & Language
The programme develops strong early literacy foundations through songs, stories, rhymes, and daily conversations that build vocabulary, listening, and communication skills. Children are introduced to pre-reading and writing activities that spark a love for books and prepare them for formal schooling.

Social & Emotional Development
Children are supported in building self-confidence, independence, and respect for others. Group activities encourage teamwork, sharing, empathy, and conflict resolution, helping children form positive relationships.

Mathematics & Numeracy
Through play and hands-on activities, children explore numbers, shapes, sizes, patterns, and problem-solving. These activities strengthen logical thinking and give children confidence in early maths concepts that are vital for future learning.

Creative Arts & Expression
Music, dance, drawing, drama, and imaginative play are woven into the programme to encourage creativity, self-expression, and problem-solving. These activities also enhance concentration and memory while giving children freedom to explore their ideas.

Physical Development
AmazingBrainz integrates both fine and gross motor skill development into daily routines. Activities such as climbing, balancing, threading, cutting, and drawing build strength, coordination, and control, while encouraging active and healthy lifestyles.

Life Skills & General Knowledge
Daily themes and practical experiences introduce children to the world around them—nature, community, culture, and basic health and safety. This prepares children to understand their environment and develop important life skills for school readiness.
